# MCP tools (/en/tools) The AI picks tools on its own based on what you ask, so you never need to name a tool. This list is useful to know what can be done. **Write** tools only show up when you grant **read and write** access. With read-only access, the AI cannot see them, let alone call them. ## Read [#read] | Tool | What it does | | ------------------------- | ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | | `list_accounts` | The connected accounts, with their ids | | `get_platform_rules` | Text limits, media formats, and daily quotas for each platform | | `get_publishing_limits` | An account's post count in the last 24 hours and its limit | | `list_posts` | Posts with their full content. With one Threads, Instagram, or TikTok account: every post on that account, including ones made in the app | | `get_post` | One full post (content, media, options) and its status per account, including the Threads thread parts of posts made in the app | | `list_comments` | Instagram and TikTok comments and Threads replies, unreplied ones by default | | `get_tiktok_creator_info` | A TikTok account's privacy choices and settings, required before posting to TikTok | | `get_account_insights` | An account's daily metrics and follower count over the last N days | | `get_post_insights` | The total metrics of a post published through Tebar | | `get_post_performance` | An account's posts with their numbers, to find the best ones | | `list_ideas` | The ideas on the ideas board, with their columns and content | | `list_media` | Photos and videos in the media library, with their ids | ## Write [#write] | Tool | What it does | | ----------------------- | ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | | `create_post` | Publish now or schedule to one or more accounts | | `update_scheduled_post` | Change the text, media, or schedule of a post not published yet | | `cancel_scheduled_post` | Cancel a scheduled post | | `retry_post` | Retry publishing on the accounts that failed | | `upload_media_from_url` | Download a photo or video from a public URL into Tebar, optionally with alt text | | `save_chat_files` | ChatGPT: save photos or videos from the conversation (attached, pasted, or made by ChatGPT) to Tebar | | `reply_to_comment` | Reply to a comment as the account owner | | `hide_comment` | Hide a comment or show it again | | `like_comment` | Like a comment or take the like back (Facebook Pages and TikTok) | | `set_comment_status` | Mark a comment replied, ignored, or unreplied (in the Tebar inbox only) | | `create_idea` | Add an idea to the ideas board, optionally with media | | `update_idea` | Change an idea's text or media, or move it to another column | ## Inbox and Automations [#inbox-and-automations] Only listed when your account has the [Inbox](/en/inbox) (Starter, Basic, or Pro plan). The write tools still need read and write access. | Tool | Access | What it does | | ------------------------- | ------ | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | | `list_conversations` | read | Instagram DM conversations, open ones by default, with how long is left to reply | | `get_conversation` | read | One conversation with its 20 latest messages | | `list_automations` | read | Your automations: trigger, DM, on or off, and their results | | `send_dm` | write | Reply with text, photos, or a video, within 24 hours of the customer's last message. Repeated within 10 minutes, sent once | | `set_conversation_status` | write | Mark a conversation done, reopen it, or mark it read (in Tebar only) | | `create_automation` | write | Create an automation: comment to DM, DMs with a keyword, story replies or mentions, or the automatic DM reply | | `update_automation` | write | Turn an automation on or off, or change it | DM text and customer names reach the AI as untrusted data, and the AI is told to send only the DMs you ask for. See [Security](/en/keamanan). ## What `create_post` supports [#what-create_post-supports] - **Media from a public URL**: JPEG/PNG photos (up to 8 MB) and MP4/MOV videos (up to 300 MB). One video on Instagram becomes a Reel, two or more media items become a carousel. - **A version per account**: different text or media for specific accounts, such as a poll on Threads and a photo on Instagram. - **Threads options**: threads (up to 10 follow-up parts, each able to hold 1 photo or video through `media_ids` or `media_url`), polls, topics, link cards, long text attachments, and who can reply. Threads and reply settings need the `threads_manage_replies` permission; accounts connected before October 24, 2026 need to be reconnected ([Limitations](/en/batasan)). - **Instagram options**: Stories, Reels covers, and whether a Reel shows in the feed. - **TikTok options**: privacy (chosen by you; the AI must not choose it for you; videos are always public), allowing comments, Duet, and Stitch, commercial content disclosure, title and automatic music for photos, or sending as a draft to the TikTok app. - **Alt text** for every media item. - **A schedule** with a time zone, for example `2026-10-15T09:00:00+07:00`. Without a schedule, the post is published right away. An identical `create_post` request within 10 minutes returns the same post, so an AI that resends a request never creates a duplicate. ## When something goes wrong [#when-something-goes-wrong] Tools return clear error codes, such as `caption_too_long`, `account_expired` (the account needs reconnecting), or `permission_missing` (a Meta permission was not granted). The AI usually explains it and suggests the next step.
